Arkema's Transformation with Real-Time Transportation Visibility

Despite its global reach, Arkema encountered significant limitations in tracking and managing inbound transportation. The absence of a unified platform left the company with limited real-time data, making it difficult to monitor carrier performance, optimize routes, and respond to issues in transit. These gaps were particularly problematic during crises such as Covid-19 and the global chip shortage, where the lack of immediate deviation alarms delayed responses and increased operational risks.

To resolve these issues, Arkema partnered with vTradEx, which implemented a comprehensive global platform. This solution integrated vTradEx’s TMS with Project44’s VOC, providing Arkema with real-time tracking and data integration. By onboarding all of Arkema’s China-based carriers onto the vTradEx SaaS TMS platform, the system ensured full end-to-end visibility across Europe, Asia, and China.
